- 1/4 teaspoon maple extract
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon milk or heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line an 8×4 or 9×5 loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and brown sugar with mixer for 1 minute until fluffy.
- Add pumpkin puree and mix until combined. Beat in eggs one at a time.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add to wet mixture and mix just until combined.
- Prepare streusel: Mix melted butter, flour, brown sugar, and spice until crumbly.
- Spread batter evenly into prepared pan. Sprinkle streusel evenly on top.
- Bake 55–60 minutes, until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool completely on wire rack. Whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled bread before serving.
