Description

Nourishing Indian Overnight Oats are a spiced, make-ahead breakfast made with rolled oats, yogurt, chia seeds, and warming Indian spices for a healthy and flavorful start to the day.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons chopped almonds or cashews
  • 2 tablespoons chopped dried mango or raisins

Instructions

  1. Combine rolled oats, milk, yogurt, and chia seeds in a jar or bowl.
  2. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Add honey, cardamom, cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, and salt.
  4. Mix thoroughly to distribute spices evenly.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  6. Stir before serving.
  7. Add additional milk if needed.
  8. Top with nuts and dried fruit before serving.
