Description
This lazy lasagna recipe transforms frozen ravioli into a restaurant-quality comfort food with all the cheesy, saucy satisfaction of traditional lasagna in just 60 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage (or ground turkey)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or pasta sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli (or cheese tortellini)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook ground beef and onion in a skillet 6–8 minutes until browned. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in baking dish. Layer frozen ravioli, half the sauce, and 1 cup mozzarella. Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover tightly with foil and bake 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake 10–15 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let rest 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with basil or parsley.
Notes
Do not thaw ravioli before baking. Rest 10 minutes after cooking for clean slices. For variety, try different ravioli fillings or leaner protein options.
