Description

Crispy Spicy Loaded Nacho Fries are double-fried potatoes tossed in bold spices and topped with melted cheese, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, jalapeños, and fresh cilantro for the ultimate crowd-pleasing appetizer.

  • 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and cut into ¼-inch strips
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup guacamole
  • ½ cup salsa
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Rinse potato strips under cold water and pat completely dry.
  2. Heat oil in a large pot to 350°F.
  3. Mix paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Fry potatoes in batches for 5 minutes until pale golden, then drain.
  5. Increase oil temperature to 375°F and fry potatoes again for 2–3 minutes until crispy.
  6. Toss hot fries immediately with spice mixture.
  7. Spread fries on a serving platter and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Add sour cream, guacamole, salsa, and jalapeño slices.
  9. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve immediately.
