Description

These fun and festive Easter Dirt Cups are the perfect treat for kids and adults alike! With layers of creamy chocolate pudding, crushed Oreo cookies, and colorful Peeps marshmallow bunnies, they make a delightful addition to your Easter celebration. Easy to make and customize, these dirt cups are a simple yet delicious dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boxes (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix

  • 4 cups cold milk (2% or whole)

  • 25 Oreo cookies, crushed

  • 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed

  • 10 Peeps marshmallow bunnies

  • 18 mini egg candies

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded coconut, dyed green (optional)

  • Food coloring (optional, for pudding layers)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pudding: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk. Whisk for about 2 minutes until smooth. Let the pudding set for 5 minutes.

  2. Fold in Whipped Topping: Gently fold in the Cool Whip to create a creamy texture. If using food coloring, divide the pudding into bowls and mix in pastel colors.

  3. Crush the Oreos: Place the Oreos in a resealable bag and crush them using a rolling pin or food processor until fine crumbs form.

  4. Assemble the Dirt Cups: In small serving cups or jars, layer 2 spoonfuls of pudding, followed by 1 1/2 tablespoons of crushed Oreos. Repeat layers, ending with crushed Oreos on top.

  5. Decorate: Sprinkle dyed green shredded coconut on top for a grassy effect. Add mini egg candies and place a Peeps bunny on top of each cup for a festive touch.

  6. Chill & Serve: Let the dirt cups chill in the refrigerator for at least 15-30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Make-Ahead Tip: Assemble the cups a few hours ahead and store them in the fridge until ready to serve.

  • Substitutions: Use sugar-free pudding, gluten-free Oreos, or almond milk for dietary variations.

  • Extra Fun: Add gummy worms for a playful twist!
