These crispy honey garlic salmon bites are a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and crispy flavors. A quick and easy dish that’s packed with protein and ready in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh salmon, skin removed, cut into bite-sized pieces
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (for extra crispiness)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions
Prepare the Salmon:
Pat salmon pieces dry with a paper towel.
Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Toss with cornstarch for extra crispiness.
Cook the Salmon:
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Add salmon pieces in a single layer, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
Make the Sauce:
In the same pan, lower heat and add garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Combine & Serve:
Return the crispy salmon bites to the pan, tossing to coat in the sauce.
Serve immediately over rice, quinoa, or alongside roasted veggies.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, air fry salmon bites at 375°F for 7-9 minutes before tossing them in the sauce.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey to taste.
- Serve with steamed jasmine rice or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
