- 1 lb (450g) salmon fillets, skinless and boneless
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
- Sesame seeds (optional), for garnish
Instructions
- Cut salmon into 1-inch bite-sized cubes and season with salt and pepper. Lightly coat with cornstarch.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook salmon pieces in batches until golden and crispy, about 3–4 minutes per side.
- In another pan, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil, sauté minced garlic for 1–2 minutes.
- Add honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and rice vinegar. Simmer for about 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Pour the glaze over cooked salmon, toss gently to coat, and let simmer for 2 more minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
Notes
To make it healthier, consider baking instead of frying. Serve over rice, vegetables, or salad for a full meal.
