- 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
- ½ cup balsamic vinegar
- ½ cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and ensure your blender is clean and dry. Remove any thick stems from the basil and peel the garlic.
- Add ingredients to the blender in this order: olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, salt, garlic, and fresh basil leaves.
- Blend on high speed for 20–30 seconds until smooth and pale green. Blend an extra 10–15 seconds if needed.
- Transfer to a glass container. Use immediately or refrigerate for up to one week. Shake before each use.
Notes
Use aged balsamic for best flavor. Don’t over-blend the basil, and always store the dressing in the refrigerator to keep it fresh.
