Description
A rich and moist chocolate pound cake infused with cream cheese for extra decadence. Inspired by Gordon Ramsay’s signature baking techniques, this cake is perfect for any occasion.

- 1 ½ cups (340g) unsalted butter, softened
- 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
- 3 cups (600g) granulated sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 2 ¼ cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- ½ cup (60g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup (120ml) whole milk
- 1 cup (175g) semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat & Prepare: Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan or loaf pan.
- Cream Butter & Sugar: In a large bowl, beat butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
- Add Eggs & Vanilla: Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix Wet & Dry: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in Chocolate Chips: If using, fold in chocolate chips.
- Bake: Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 70-80 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool & Serve: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For extra moisture, add a tablespoon of sour cream to the batter.
- Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with melted chocolate for a gourmet touch.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
