Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 large bag tortilla chips
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup guacamole

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare a baking sheet or cast iron skillet.
  2. Cook ground beef over medium heat until fully browned.
  3. Add taco seasoning and water, stir, and simmer until thickened.
  4. Arrange half of the tortilla chips on the baking sheet.
  5. Sprinkle half of the cheeses over the chips and top with half of the beef.
  6. Add remaining chips, beef, and finish with remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven and top with tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole, and cilantro.
  9. Serve immediately.
