- 1 cup beef broth

- 2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and chopped

- ½ cup milk
Instructions
- Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender.
- Drain and mash potatoes with butter and warm milk until smooth.
- Brown ground meat in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add onion, garlic, and carrots and cook until softened.
- Stir in tomato paste, flour, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Add beef broth and simmer until thickened.
- Stir in peas, season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Transfer meat mixture to a baking dish.
- Spread mashed potatoes evenly on top.
- Bake at 400°F until golden and bubbly.
- Broil briefly for a crisp top if desired.
- Let rest before serving.
