- 8 chicken drumsticks, skin on
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- Pat drumsticks dry with paper towels. Coat with 1 tablespoon olive oil.
- In a bowl, mix baking powder, pepper, garlic powder, salt, and paprika.
- Toss drumsticks in seasoning until evenly coated.
- Brush remaining tablespoon olive oil over drumsticks.
- Arrange in a single layer in air fryer basket.
- Cook at 400°F for 10 minutes.
- Flip drumsticks and cook another 10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Check internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Rest 3–5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Always preheat air fryer for best crispiness. Do not substitute baking soda for baking powder. Avoid overcrowding the basket—cook in batches if needed.
